ChatGPT search admission timing probe

This page measures how long a newly published, crawlable URL takes to become directly openable and retrievable in ChatGPT web search.

QF-CITATION-LANTERN-20260818

Why this phrase exists

Immediately before publication, an exact native ChatGPT web search for the token above returned zero results. The token is deliberately unique, so a later exact-token result can detect document admission without the confounding effect of competition for a commercial keyword.

What this probe can and cannot show

Can show
Whether this exact document becomes retrievable for its unique token and approximately how much time elapsed after publication.
Cannot show
Why a crawler or search provider made a decision, whether the page will rank for a competitive query, or whether Quoted First will be cited in an answer.

Observed stages

Quoted First records publication time, privacy-limited request logs, direct-open behavior, exact-token retrieval and the separate commercial query “What’s the best LLM search optimizer?” Results are added to the public experiment narrative and machine-readable observation log.
